C, thanks for the pod. I want to sway your heart a bit regarding the place you are renovating/creating.
1.Get Sasha there. If she goes three times, she will remember those times, in a very good way, for the rest of her life. Plus, you don't KNOW that she will be moving to the US in three years. This country may be VERY different in three years.
2.This place will be good for you, for your "marriage", in potentially big ways. Create a place to meditate. Grow things. Maybe you will make some good dough selling? Regardless, you will be able to get away, get your hands in the dirt, sweat as you make it uniquely yours, etc.
3.Remember the legacy. You may sell it to another family who will bring their kids. It may be a generational blessing to so many in the future. Don't belittle the legacy. On that note, maybe don't skimp as much as you want to :0)
I get why you would be frustrated it would take so long to get underway, and that you had dreams that cannot be fulfilled as Sasha is older. BUT, there is plenty more life, my friend!
It's funny, just saw it today, amazing house, looking really good, though still six months away. Good points -- you're right, even if we wind up selling it, whoever gets it will have something good, we'll get the money out of it and the town will be a little nicer for its being there.
I heard the most recent pod. I apologize for not affirming you a bit more. I know you were venting and can imagine the frustration. I deal with HOA's all the time in my job and there is some good and some bad. But, to have the delays would be so tough, especially when your hope is time-sensitive. I am stoked for you and the times you will have there!
