Catching up on some of the most recent podcasts... a few longwinded comments:
First: I can vouch for the land line as the kids outlet to speak to friends. We purchased one over a year ago and our close friends (his best friend's family) did as well. It's awesome. Not only will he use it to call his friends or his grandparents, but we've used it leaving our son at home for an hour here or there and we can call to check up on him or he can call us, since we have an address book by one of the phones. It's amazing when you get one, just how foreign a land line phone is to kids, so I think the operation of the phone and address book and actual social interaction skills acquired are worth it alone. The gravy on top is since basically the only people who have the number are his buddy's fam, his grandparents, and us, the number hasn't gotten out into the ether for the telemarketers to harass us, which was the original reason for dumping the landline years ago.
Second: The Argentine apartment purchase is one of the sharpest takes I've ever heard. I was listening and had to rewind. Even if I had the funds, I never would have contemplated something as sharp as that. Much respect, and I hope you make a killing and also enjoy the property. You did encourage me to buy a little of the ETF mirroring Argentina's index. Hopefully I am not too late because it's crazy how much it's gone up since he's taken office. but I don't think I am. I wish I could buy the Argentine index direct just to show solidarity and support with Milei, but I guess this will have to do and Global X will get theirs.
Third: I've also been noticing the regurgitation of based guests. Dave Smith on both Rogan and Tucker this past week, for example. I've found myself listening more to sports lately, because the material has been getting predictable. Rogan episodes especially have been bad. I used to regard him as a master conversationalist, but his skills are eroding. Sounds like hes on adderall. He's talking over guests and keeps bringing up the same stuff. The worst was the Tulsi interview. Tulsi is one of the few politicians left where I hold out hope that the whole thing isn't a sham and she's one of the good ones, because if she's not, then whatever hope there is for us to have drops down a notch. The episode with her was basically unlistenable and I had to stop halfway through. I'm pretty sure he desperately wants to bang her. He was manic and spent the first 30 minutes talking about weed and the movie, Reefer Madness," and the next 30 minutes man-splaining to her (hate that phrase but that's what he was doing) USB-C vs apple lightning phone chargers. I wanted to hear what she had to say about relevant shit. I wanted to hear about her thoughts on possibly being Trump's running mate, or turning down RFK Jr to be his. None of that.
Anyway, you don't hear takes on buying Argentine real estate on the based pod circuit, so I can assure you that yours is original and still worth listening.

good to know -- going to get one for sure.
And I hope so. Place is so nice, we just had a meeting with the architect who is re-doing it, makes me want to move there.
I think it has huge upside as the place has so much going for it, but was run by the worst criminals for decades.
Yeah, I want to keep it fresh. If it's just more of the same, what's the point?
Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it.
